Microsoft answers Apple's iPod

Microsoft recently announced its upcoming media player - the Zune.

- 30 GB hard drive
- FM radio
- 3-inch color screen for watching videos and showing off photos
- support MP3, WMA, and AAC (the digital music format iTunes uses)

The Wi-Fi capability will enable two friends who both have Zune to beam each other songs.

No pricing or firm launch was announced, but expect it by the holidays.
