No rest for travelers
In the past, airline travel meant being out of touch for the duration of the flight. Mobile phones had to be turned off and there was no Internet connectivity. This meant you could "catch up" on things without interruptions. Or you could simply "vegetate" by sleeping or watching the inflight movie.
Airlines have begun to make in-flight Internet conntectivity available to fliers. JetBlue was one of the first to offer e-mail and instant messaging. It is expected that broader high-speed services will soon be available on American Airlines, Virgin merica, and Alaska Airlines.
Soon, there will be no rest for the business traveler.
