Update Zillow data

Zillow.com announced that consumers will be able to update detailed information about their properties in Zillow’s database. Zillow enables homeowners to play a more active part in telling others about their most important asset—their home.

Homeowners simply go to www.Zillow.com, register their name, and “claim” their home’s record through an online private verification process. Once the verification is completed, homeowners can add remodel information, update or change information such as square footage, beds/baths, and provide more specific details (waterfront view, type of parking, roof composition). Homeowners can then recalculate the estimated value for their home and optionally post this estimate for other Zillow users. All homeowner-contributed information will be shown alongside Zillow’s existing data for that home, including the Zestimate valuation.
