Apple under $1000
Apple announce new machines earlier in the week. Unfortunately they did not release one at $800 as rumored, however they did come in under the $1,000 price point.

Google G1
The Google G1 will be released on Wednesday at T-Mobile stores. Advertised as an iPhone challenger, the phone will be available for $179 with a 2-year calling plan.
The G1 uses a touch screen that can view images with a finger swipe. There is a full keyboard. The phone can download music, display online maps, play games, store photos, show videos, e-mail, instant message, access GPS and communicate at 3G and Wi-Fi speeds.

Size of a storm
The Storm is a large one - it's 0.55-inches thick. People who felt that Apple was pushing weight boundaries won't like this "chubby" phone. In addition to being somewhat oversized, the traditional BlackBerry weight advantage is gone.

The price of a storm
We're speaking of the new Blackberry Storm. According to items on the Internet, including this one, http://tinyurl.com/4skfke, the Blackberry Storm will be retailed at $699.99

Apple laptop for $800
According to http://www.inquisitr.com/, Apple will be selling a laptop for $800. This is the first time that Apple has offered a laptop for under $1000. They may be shifting to target price sensitive customers.

Here comes the storm
The BlackBerry Storm is arriving on Verizon and Vodafone in November.
The Storm is RIM's first touchscreen phone. It uses a 3.26-inch 480 x 360 glass display with a clickable surface. There is a full HTML finger-navigable browser with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint editing capabilities.
Storm includes Bluetooth 2.0, 1GB of onboard storage, an 8GB microSD card, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a 3.2-megapixel autofocus camera with dedicated flash.
It advertises 15 days of standby or 5.5 hours of talk time on either GSM or CDMA networks. There is no information on pricing at this time.
